Kelsey McNeill, LCSW, is a dedicated and compassionate professional with a profound commitment to helping others. With an undergraduate degree in psychology from Sonoma State University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California, Kelsey has cultivated a solid academic foundation and a wealth of knowledge in her field.

 

Kelsey’s career in social work began as a medical social worker at Cedars Sinai Medical Center over 10 years ago. Starting on the inpatient units, Kelsey quickly proved herself as an invaluable asset, providing unwavering support to patients across various units, including the intense and challenging environment of the intensive care units. Kelsey discovered her true passion in the Emergency Department and thrived in the demanding atmosphere it provided.  There, she further honed her skills in crisis intervention and trauma therapy, showcasing her ability to remain composed and supportive in high-pressure situations.

 

Beyond her clinical work, Kelsey initiated and served on multiple taskforces, demonstrating her passion for effecting positive change and her dedication to addressing critical social issues within the healthcare system. Kelsey played a pivotal role in creating the Human Trafficking Task Force, demonstrating her commitment to addressing and advocating for vulnerable populations. Through her dedication and tireless efforts, she also facilitated educational initiatives for multiple medical centers, raising awareness and knowledge about human trafficking and its impact on individuals' lives. Additionally, she took on leadership roles by supervising and providing clinical hours to MSW employees, imparting her expertise and nurturing the professional growth of her colleagues. Moreover, she actively mentored and taught MSW interns, passing on her knowledge and cultivating the next generation of social work professionals.

 

After her time at Cedars Sinai, Kelsey embraced a new challenge and joined a small start-up company, Lightyear Health, that provided mental health services and therapy to individuals with dual diagnoses. In this role, she further expanded her expertise in treating complex mental health conditions using her skills in trauma therapy, motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and evidence-based treatments to empower individuals on their journey to recovery.

 

Throughout her career, Kelsey’s warm and empathetic nature has left a lasting impression on all those she interacts with. Her holistic approach to life reflects her belief in the power of balance and self-care. She genuinely believes in the transformative power of human connection and strives to empower her clients to navigate life’s obstacles with resilience and strength. Kelsey is licensed in both California and Texas.
