Jamie Williams, LCSW
As a licensed clinical social worker in both Texas and California, I bring a wealth of experience to my
practice in the mental health field. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Texas at
Arlington and have been dedicated to helping individuals navigate their mental health challenges since
2016.
My career began in Texas, where I worked at Methodist Health Systems and Parkland Hospital,
providing crucial psychiatric evaluations and crisis support in the emergency department. I also gained
valuable experience in inpatient settings, offering case management and facilitating group therapy in a
partial hospitalization program. In 2018, I relocated to the Bay Area, serving as a social worker and
treatment coordinator in the inpatient psychiatric unit at Sutter: Herrick Hospital. I later transitioned to
Kaiser Walnut Creek, working as an outpatient therapist conducting both individual and group
therapy, where I supported clients in their journey toward recovery in a community setting.
The pandemic brought me to Los Angeles, where I currently work full-time at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in the emergency department as a psychiatric social worker. I have worked with a wide range of individuals,
from children to adults, who experience depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, personality
disorders, and substance use challenges.
I believe in taking an integrative approach when working with clients, recognizing that each person has
their unique challenges and situations. I draw upon various therapeutic modalities, including Dialectical
Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness practices, tailoring my
approach to meet the specific needs of each individual. My strengths-based perspective empowers
clients to identify and utilize their inherent strengths in their journey toward healing.
